Recipe: Space Spray
So you have finished your hand sanitiser or deodorant and now you have an empty glass bottle and atomiser. While recycling is great, reusing is better. Here are some recipe suggestions which are fun to make a nice to have around. These are a home-style recipe, not for selling. You would want to make sure they were a bit more stable and be more considered with the ingredients and water you use if you were going to sell these. Probs totes fine for gifts to friends and fam though!
The measurements are in tablespoons and teaspoons because it’s for home! But if you want mL here is a key:
1 tablespoon = 15mL
1 teaspoon = 5mL
ROOM SPRAY
50mL bottle & atomiser
3 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon essential oils (approx equal parts: lavender, cedarwood & bergamot)
LOO SPRAY
50mL bottle & atomiser
2 tablespoons + 2 teaspoons water
a few drops of eucalyptus essential oil
1 teaspoon lavender essential oil
1 teaspoon peppermint essential oil
Notes: This is a strong mix! just a spritz or two in the loo bowl should do.
PILLOW MIST
50mL bottle & atomiser
a few drops of lavender essential oil
fill the rest with water
Notes: This is a very mild mix because your pillow touches your face, a stronger blend could irritate your skin. You can also choose to spritz it onto your sheets so you can still enjoy the relaxing scent but not have it so close to your face and skin.
